Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Stock Unloader Associate in Calgary to unload trailers, process merchandise, and move pallets to the sales floor, while maintaining a safe, clean workspace and supporting a positive shopping experience. You’ll assist with stocking, cold-chain handling for refrigerated items, and overstock organization.

Minimum age is 16, with wages starting at CAD 16.15 per hour. Primary location: 35 Sage Hill Gate NW, Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and Unloading Merchandise: Prepares and resets the Receiving Area and unloads general merchandise trailers, including completing live unloading of remaining merchandise.
• Handle and Move Merchandise Safely: Maintains cold chain standards for refrigerated and frozen products and pulls pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing.
• Stocking and Customer Support: Assists with stocking the sales floor as assigned and provides customer service when needed to support a positive shopping experience.
• Overstock Organization: Labels and places overstock merchandise in designated areas to support efficient inventory management.
• Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Follows Company policies and procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free workplace, including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• Potential Challenges in this Role: High Task Volume in a Fast-Paced Environment—Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused.
• Physical Demands: Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
