Walmart Canada is seeking a Self-Checkout Attendant to support customers in the self-service area, keep the checkout zone organized, and ensure a smooth shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will assist customers with self-checkout, promote store programs, respond to EAS alerts, and help maintain Scan & Go equipment. The role starts at a minimum hourly rate of 18.10 CAD and requires being 16 or older.

What You'll Do

Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards

Maintains a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills.

Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives

Supports the promotion of company sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives, when applicable.

Support Customers at Self Checkout

Helps customers use self checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Clearly explain any interventions in a friendly, reassuring way and escalates cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.

Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation

Responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the "Failure to Deactivate" log.

Manage Scan & Go Equipment

Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
