Walmart Canada in Saint-Georges, QC is seeking a Self-Checkout Attendant to assist customers at the self-checkout area and maintain service standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: Maintains a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills.
• Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives: Supports promotion of company sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives, when applicable.
• Support Customers at Self Checkout: Helps customers use self checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Escalates cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager as needed.
• Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation: Responds to EAS alarms and accurately completes the “Failure to Deactivate” log.
• Manage Scan & Go Equipment: Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Clearly explain any interventions in a friendly, reassuring way and escalates cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.

Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation Responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the “Failure to Deactivate” log.

Manage Scan & Go Equipment Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.

Physical Demands

• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
