Walmart Canada Corp is seeking an attentive Self-Checkout Associate in Canada to maintain a clean, safe self-checkout area and assist customers with quick, confident service. You will promote Walmart programs and ensure equipment is properly handled and stored.

Flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays helps keep store operations smooth and customers satisfied. Responsibilities include monitoring the self-checkout area, handling EAS alarms per procedures, and ensuring Scan & Go

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards

  Maintains a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills.

• Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives

  Supports the promotion of company sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives, when applicable.

• Support Customers at Self Checkout

  Helps customers use self checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Clearly explain any interventions in a friendly, reassuring way and elevate cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.

• Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation

  Responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the “Failure to Deactivate” log.

• Manage Scan & Go Equipment

  Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.

• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)
  • Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runssmoothlyand customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• Physical Demands
  • Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
