Job summary

Walmart Canada in Kelowna, BC is seeking a Produce Stocker to help maintain a clean, fully stocked produce area and deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will rotate products, ensure freshness, price signage, follow food safety and cold chain standards, stock displays, and adhere to health and safety guidelines. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is valued to support store operations and provide a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the produce department clean, organized, and neatly zoned so it is ready for customers at all times.
• Rotates products regularly and removes expired items to ensure freshness and quality.
• Makes sure all produce is correctly priced and signed, following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, labels, and signage.
• Follows food safety, sanitation, and cold chain procedures, including temperature checks, thermometer use, proper food handling, and compliance with sell by and expiration dates.
• Stocks and downstocks merchandise as needed, applies product protection when required, and sets modulars, including flex modulars and shelf caps, to keep the department fully stocked.
• Follows all Health and Safety policies to help maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Check Product Quality and Freshness

Rotates products regularly and removes expired items to ensure freshness and quality.

Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing

Makes sure all produce is correctly priced and signed, following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, labels, and signage.

Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Standards

Follows food safety, sanitation, and cold chain procedures, including temperature checks, thermometer use, proper food handling, and compliance with sell by and expiration dates.
