Walmart Canada in Cornwall, ON is seeking a People Lead to support the Store Manager and leadership team by guiding human resources functions that promote compliance, engagement, and operational excellence. You will recruit, hire, train, and develop staff; drive HR programs; leverage data and digital tools; and model integrity and respect in daily operations.

  • Assists leadership with associate recruitment, hiring, staffing, development, succession planning, scheduling, attendance, and performance needs by identifying and analyzing HR related issues.
  • Develops, communicates and implements HR practices and action plans to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners; analyzing data from multiple resources to ensure accuracy; monitoring strategy progress and results.
  • Supports and advocates for associates by modeling Walmart core values; striving to ensure excellence and respect are incorporated into daily routines, store meetings, and communications; encouraging associates to lead by example and act with integrity.
  • Leads and promotes the adoption of technology services and digital solutions by utilizing and sharing resources, information, and tools; and modeling and assisting associates with new ways of working implementation efforts.
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

What you'll do
