Walmart Canada in Nanaimo, BC is seeking a Meat Associate to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will keep the meat department clean, stocked, and properly zoned while assisting customers and supporting daily sales activities.

Responsibilities include maintaining department standards, ensuring accurate pricing and signing, and following food safety and cold chain practices. Ability to handle physical tasks and work flexible shifts is required.

Formación

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards
• Keeps the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times. Rotates stock regularly and removes expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing
• Ensures all merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices
• Adheres to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration date compliance.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products
• Takes customer orders and prepares deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken. Uses slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools safely to prepare food, fill display cases, and complete special customer orders.
• Health and Safety Compliance
• Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

Position Summary…
