In this role, you deliver outstanding customer service by living Walmart’s values, keeping the meat department clean, organized, and well‑stocked, and supporting daily sales activities. As part of the team, you help create a fresh, inviting shopping experience for customers. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work, teamwork, and making a positive impact on every customer visit.
Keep the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer‑ready at all times. Rotates stock regularly and removes expired or unsellable products.
Ensures all merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
Adheres to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration date compliance.
Takes customer orders and prepares deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken. Uses slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools safely to prepare food, fill display cases, and complete special customer orders.
Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high‑quality service.
