Walmart Canada is seeking a Meat Associate to deliver exceptional customer service while keeping the meat department clean, well‑stocked, and inviting.

You will rotate stock, ensure accurate pricing, follow food safety standards, and assist with deli items. Flexible scheduling and teamwork are valued in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains department clean, organized, and properly zoned for customer readiness; rotates stock and removes expired or unsellable products.
• Ensures all merchandise is signed and priced correctly; follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follows food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, rotation, sell-by dates, and expiry compliance.
• Prepares deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken; takes customer orders and uses slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers safely to fill displays and complete orders.
• Follows health and safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Maintains flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support business operations.
• High task volume in a fast-paced environment; manages overnight hours and plans ahead to maintain energy and focus.
• Performs physical tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs as required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Maintain Department Organization and Standards

Keeps the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer‑ready at all times. Rotates stock regularly and removes expired or unsellable products.

Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing

Ensures all merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.

Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices

Adheres to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration date compliance.

Prepare and Serve Deli Products

Takes customer orders and prepares deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken. Uses slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools safely to prepare food, fill display cases, and complete special customer orders.

Health and Safety Compliance

Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runssmoothlyand customers receive consistent, high‑quality service.
