Job summary

Walmart Canada in Orillia is seeking a Meat Associate to deliver friendly customer service while keeping the meat department clean, well‑stocked, and organized for shoppers.

You will prepare deli items, follow food safety and cold chain practices, price and sign products accurately, and support daily sales with teamwork. This role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to grow within a fast‑paced retail environment. The minimum rate of pay starts at 18.05 CAD per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards: Keeps the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Rotates stock regularly and removes expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing: Ensures all merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: Adheres to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration date compliance.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products: Takes customer orders and prepares deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken. Uses slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools safely to prepare food, fill display cases, and complete special customer orders.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high‑quality service.
