Position Summary

Working as a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. A Meat Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the meat area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What you'll do

• Zones the department.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slices and prepares merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and provides requested assistance.
• Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizes slicers, stackers, and other utensils; prepares chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; fills prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from customers as required.
• Follows Health and Safety guidelines.
