Job summary

Walmar in Courtenay, BC is seeking a maintenance cleaning team member to support a structured cleaning program and control costs while upholding a clean, safe shopping environment. The role requires cooperation with store associates, adherence to food safety standards, and execution of routine cleaning across Fresh Departments, coolers, freezers and fixtures.

Candidates should be 18 or older and ready to work with a focus on safety and policy compliance.

• Communicate with the stocking coach and cooperate with associates on cleaning regimens.
• Comply with Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
• Clean all Fresh Departments including coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
• Inspect maintenance and cleaning equipment and ensure supplies are available.
• Promote a safe work environment by completing in-store certifications and following company policies.
• Clean floors by mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining carpets and non-sales areas.
