Job summary

Walmart Canada in Kirkland, QC is seeking an engaged team member to support Fresh departments with leadership on tasks and training opportunities. You will assist in merchandising, coaching associates, and ensuring excellent customer service across the store.

You will help with scheduling, safety practices, and daily operations while collaborating with the Fresh Coach and Store Management. This entry-level role starts at the minimum wage and offers growth through hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, promoting products, helping with purchases, resolving issues and referring concerns when needed.
• Coordinate task completion priorities with Fresh Coach and Store Management; delegate and follow up on daily Customer Availability tasks.
• Assess Fresh Departments' presentation and merchandising; implement display changes as required.
• Lead daily team huddles, communicate updates, set goals, and monitor productivity.
• Assign associates to coverage tasks across all store areas.
• Observe training opportunities during tours with coaches and develop associates through teaching and feedback.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment by following policy, completing safety logs and ensuring displays are secure.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and support management.
• Assist Coach/People Lead with performance conversations and participate in recruiting.

Job description

Position Summary…

Assists in the leadership of the Fresh areas and department processes, responds to problems and inquiries and develops associates through teaching and training. Ensures a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.
Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

What you’ll do…

1. Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.


2. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Fresh Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow-up on completion of daily Customer Availability process tasks.


3. Assesses the overall presentation of Fresh Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executes merchandising display changes where required.


4. Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
   5. Review completed schedules with People Lead


5. Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.


6. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.


7. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
   9. Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.


8. Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.85.
