Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for an IT - Scrum Master I for their Toronto, ON/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Lead and guide the team through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.
- Remove impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles, conflicts, and issues that hinder the team's progress, coordinating with external groups or stakeholders as needed.
- Coach and mentor: Guide the team in adopting and practicing Agile principles and Scrum values, helping them develop self-management and continuous improvement skills.
- Shield the team: Protect the team from external interference and distractions to allow them to focus on delivering value during the sprint.
- Foster collaboration: Promote effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring a healthy and productive environment.
- Promote transparency: Encourage the team to track relevant metrics and make informed decisions to improve their processes.
- Additionally, the following items.
- Leading PI Planning for the teams.
- Keeping teams and partners on track during execution.
- Coaching Agile Teams.
- Improving workflow between teams.
- Driving improvements in the teams.
- Managing alignment between the business and various partner groups.
Requirements:
- Risk, impediment and dependency management
- CSM certification (any scrum master cert works)
- Program Increment planning – quarterly planning etc.
- Strong communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong facilitator (facilitating scrum ceremonies)
- Scaled Agile certification
- Banking or financial institution experience
- Release Train Engineer experience (knowledge)
- Project Management experience
