Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Grocery Associate to deliver excellent customer service while keeping the grocery area clean, organized, and well zoned. You will support stocking and sales activities to ensure the store is ready for customers and maintain a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Rotates merchandise regularly and removes expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced, following procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, signing, and labeling.
• Follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking as required, applying product protection when needed, and setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• Manages overnight hours and a fast-paced workload to restock and recover efficiently.
• Lifts inventory up to 50 lbs and stands for extended periods.

Pricing, Signing, and Inventory Accuracy

Ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.

Food Safety and Sanitation

Follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.

Stocking and Modular Execution

Ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking as required, applying product protection when needed, and setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Health and Safety Compliance
