Walmart Canada is seeking a General Merchandise Associate in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. You will deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers find products, and support stocking, merchandising, and floor recovery to keep the store inviting and organized.

In this fast-paced retail role, you’ll cover sales floor areas, assist with front-end coverage when needed, ensure safety and cleanliness, and adapt to a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Covers assigned areas of the sales floor and assists with Front End coverage when required.
• Zones assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor; moves feature merchandise to its location and processes recovery merchandise.
• Stocks merchandise and picks, completes downstocking, applies product protection, and sets modulars and shelf caps.
• Maintains a safe, clean, hazard-free environment by following policies and ensuring displays/fixtures are secure.
• Be open to a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You’ll Do

Deliver An Excellent Customer Experience

Provides friendly and professional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as needed.

Sales Floor Coverage and Team Support

Covers assigned areas of the sales floor and assists with Front End coverage when required. Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and customer needs are met.

Merchandising, Zoning, and Recovery

Zones assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor. Moves feature merchandise to its modular location and processes recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.

Stocking and Modular Execution

Stocks merchandise and picks, completes downstocking as required, applies product protection when needed, and sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance

Maintains a safe, clean, and hazard‑free work environment by following Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

Physical Demands

• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
