Job summary

Walmart Canada Corp in Timmins, ON is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to help customers, stock and zone merchandise, and support sales floor operations.

You will greet customers, assist with locating products, keep displays neat and safe, and help with front-end coverage while maintaining a clean store environment.

The role starts at a minimum hourly rate of 17.75 CAD, with growth opportunities through experience and in-store training.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting customers in a polite and friendly manner, assists with product promotion and locating merchandise.
• Covers an assigned area on the salesfloor to ensure availability and visibility of merchandise.
• Zonses the assigned area to maintain organized and attractive displays.
• Moves feature merchandise to its modular home and sets up new shelf caps as needed.
• Stocks merchandise and performs downstocking where applicable, and supports with front-end coverage.
• Communicates with associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and service levels meet Walmart standards.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard-free environment by following company policy and completing safety tasks.
• Ensures displays and fixtures are secure and that recovery merchandise from Customer Service is handled efficiently.
• Adheres to all store policies and procedures to deliver a consistent customer experience.

What you'll do...

1. Provides excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assists customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
2. Covers an assigned area(s) on the salesfloor.
3. Zones assigned area.
4. Moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
5. Works recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
6. Assists with Front End coverage.
7. Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
8. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
9. Stocks merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable . Applies product protection when required. Sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and sets new shelf caps.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.75.
