Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp is seeking a General Merchandise Associate in Sorel-Tracy, QC. You will deliver excellent customer service, assist with product selection, locate merchandise, and support stocking and sales activities across the general merchandise area.

You will cover sales floor areas, help with Front End shifts when needed, and maintain a clean, organized environment. The role includes physical tasks and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

• Zone assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor; move feature merchandise to its modular location and recover merchandise from the store.
• Stock merchandise and picks, complete downstocking as required, apply product protection when needed, and set modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free work environment by following policy, completing safety logs, and ensuring displays are secure.
• Be open to a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Deliver an Excellent Customer Experience

Provides friendly and professional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as needed.

Sales Floor Coverage and Team Support

Cover assigned areas of the sales floor and assists with Front End coverage when required. Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and customer needs are met.

Merchandising, Zoning, and Recovery

Zones assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor. Moves feature merchandise to its modular location and processes recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.

Stocking and Modular Execution

Stocks merchandise and picks, completes downstocking as required, applies product protection when needed, and sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance

Maintains a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
