Job summary

Walmart Canada in Clarenville, NL is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to deliver outstanding customer service, keep the sales floor organized, and support stocking and sales activities across general merchandise.

You will assist customers with product selection, help locate items, participate in merchandising, zoning, and recovery, and follow safety standards to maintain a clean, hazard‑free store environment. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers friendly and professional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as needed.
• Covers assigned areas of the sales floor and assists with Front End coverage when required. Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and customer needs are met.
• Zones assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor. Moves feature merchandise to its modular location and processes recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
• Stocks merchandise and picks, completes downstocking as required, applies product protection when needed, and sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and hazard‑free work environment by following Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
