Job summary

Walmart Canada in Saint John, NB is hiring a customer service associate to greet customers, process transactions, and promote store programs. You will assist with bagging, maintain safety, and support self-checkout at 450 Westmorland Rd.

Minimum age is 16+, this on-site role offers front-line customer service and cash handling duties to drive a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Age – 16 or older.
• Experience with customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, i.e. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
