Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Miramichi, NB is seeking a friendly, customer‑focused associate to greet shoppers, process transactions, and support the front end.

You will assist with bagging, loading merchandise, and help maintain a safe, clean work area while protecting cash handling integrity. You will promote store programs, guide customers to self‑checkout options, and refer complex items to a Customer Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, ie. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
