Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp in Dieppe, NB is seeking a Front End Associate to support and process transactions, greet customers, and promote store services. You’ll help with bagging, maintain cash-handling integrity, and assist customers with self-checkout options.

The role includes promoting sponsor programs and delivering a positive shopping experience to build customer loyalty. Wage starts at CAD 16.05 per hour with opportunities for variety in daily tasks.

• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, ie. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
