Job summary

Walmart in Canada is seeking to provide excellent customer service and support through efficient transaction processing and helpful guidance. This role focuses on creating a positive shopping experience and driving customer loyalty by engaging with customers at the front end and assisting with checkout processes.

Primary responsibilities include greeting customers, handling purchases, promoting card services and protections, and ensuring safe, efficient operations at self-checkout and bagging

• Process all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promote company sponsor programs, i.e. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educate and support customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
