Job summary

Walmart Canada in Powell River is seeking a Food and Consumables Associate to provide outstanding customer service while maintaining the food and consumables area.

The role involves stocking and organizing the department, rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and ensuring clear signage and accurate pricing. Compliance with cold chain standards and proper labeling is required. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $18.40 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
