Job summary

Walmart is hiring a Food and Consumables Associate in Parry Sound, ON to provide excellent customer service while maintaining and organizing the food and consumables area. You will assist with stocking, rotation of stock, and ensuring shelves are properly signed and priced.

The role requires adherence to cold chain standards, temperature logging, and proper handling of perishable goods. Minimum age is 16, and Fridays are available with wage starting at CAD 17.75 per hour, depending on experience.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Able to follow policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to organize product shelves, tables and bunkers.

Position Summary...

A Food and Consumables Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the food and consumables area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What you’ll do...

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.75. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
