Job summary

Walmart Canada is hiring at its Calgary distribution center for a warehouse associate to support receiving operations. You will unload freight, verify product and counts, and move goods to the correct departments, then assemble pallets following Ti/Hi specs and other standards.

In this role you’ll follow stock receiving policies, complete required paperwork, and keep up with health, safety, and housekeeping protocols to ensure compliance with laws and company policy.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must wear steel-toed safety shoes/boots on first day.
• Other PPE may be required and provided as needed.
• Age 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight and verify product and count prior to receiving.
• Transport freight to designated departments.
• Assemble pallets per Ti/Hi specifications and other rules.
• Adhere to Staple Stock Receiving policies and procedures.
• Complete paperwork accurately (e.g., BOL, receiver stamps, O/S) and maintain safety training.

Position Summary...

Responsible for the receiving of freight into the DC.

What You'll Do...

• Unloading of freight and verifying product and count prior to receiving
• Transportation of freight to designated departments.
• Assembling pallets according to designated Ti/Hi and other specifications
• Adhering to all Staple Stock Receiving policies and procedures.
• Timely and accurate completion of paperwork (I.E.) BOL, receiver stamps, overage/shortage
• Maintain associate related programs and procedures, including health and safety and housekeeping programs in order to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and company policy.

Position Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to have steel toed safety shoes/boots for first day.
• Other safety personal protective gear may be required as appropriate and will be provided.

The rate of pay for this position starts from $26.40/hr.
