Job summary

Walmart Canada in Mississauga, ON is seeking a warehouse associate to load outbound freight onto trailers for store delivery. This is a union represented position and work is on site. You will scan and load both conveyable and non-conveyable freight, keep conveyor lines moving, handle jams, and follow trailer release procedures.

Daily use includes the MM program on TC70 devices. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, wear steel-toed boots, and follow all Shipping policies.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must wear steel-toed safety shoes from day one.
• Safe handling of both conveyable and non-conveyable freight.

Responsibilities

• Scan and load conveyable and non-conveyable freight in a timely and safe manner.
• Manage loading process to keep conveyor lines moving and minimize stoppages; handle jams and trailer release procedures.
• Adhere to all Shipping policies and procedures.

Job description

Position Summary...

Responsible for loading outbound freight onto trailers to be shipped to stores.This is a union represented position.

What you'll do...

• To ensure that merchandise—both the freight loaded on conveyors (conveyable freight) and the non-conveyable freight—are scanned and loaded in a timely and safe manner.
• Manage the entire process of loading freight, ensuring the constant flow of product, to reduce conveyer lines from stopping and maintaining minimal recirculation. (Solid Lines) This includes getting jams and following proper trailer release procedure.
• Adhering to all Shipping policies and procedures.
• Must be able to proficiently use as a part of daily activities the 5090 shipping lane computers and TC70’s with the MM program.
• Maintain the Shipping department’s housekeeping standards and support fellow associates while adhering to all Shipping Procedures.

Position Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to have steel toed safety shoes/boots for first day.
• Other safety personal protective gear may be required as appropriate and will be provided.

The rate of pay for this position starts from $25.34/hr.
