Job summary

Walmart Canada in Calgary is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving and distribution. You will unload freight, verify counts, cut shrink wrap, assemble pallets, move stock to departments, complete paperwork, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards.

This role requires adherence to Walmart policies and quality control. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, wear steel-toed shoes on day one, and use provided PPE.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly up to 10 hours per day.
  • Steel-toed safety shoes/boots required on day one.
  • Other safety PPE may be required and will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading of freight and verifying product and count prior to receiving.
  • Cutting shrink wrap off of shipment skids, verifying product skid content’s, and matching label to product.
  • Assembling pallets according to designated Ti/Hi and other specifications.
  • Transportation of freight to various departments.
  • Completion of paperwork accurately and as required to ensure timely completion of receiving procedures.
  • Maintain associate related programs and procedures, including health and safety and housekeeping programs in order to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and company policy.

The rate of pay for this position starts from $26.40/hr.
