Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining and zoning the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, signing, and pricing, and support cold chain safety and food handling standards.

The role involves preparing deli and bakery items, rotating stock, and taking customer orders. The position starts at a minimum hourly rate of 19.05 CAD and requires workers 16 or older for a busy retail environment in Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
