Walmart is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Montreal, QC to provide exemplary customer service by adhering to Walmart values, maintain and zone the Bakery and Deli area, and assist with stocking and selling goods.

The role involves zoning the department, rotating stock, ensuring signs and prices, following cold chain and food-safety procedures, and preparing both deli and bakery items. The position starts at CAD 19.05 per hour with on-site work responsibilities at 951 Rue du Marche Central.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and products are in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; prepares hot food merchandise and provides requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders using utensils; prepares chicken by rotisserie oven; fills prepared side dishes for display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by thawing and baking according to guidelines to ensure quality and presentation of bakery items.
• Follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

What you’ll do…

1. Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
2. Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration dates.
   5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
5. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
   7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
   8. Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.05.
