Responsibilities

• Ensures safe work practices and emergency procedures, including lifting, cleaning work areas, managing down registers, responding to codes, and theft prevention.
• Handles customer and associate concerns professionally to resolve issues and maintain a positive front-end experience.
• Monitors Front End operations to ensure proper coverage, coordinate breaks, and support outlying registers for efficient customer flow.
• Trains associates on systems and procedures, including scanning accuracy, productivity standards, discount programs, EAS, and safety.
• Oversees purchases, returns, and exchanges; approves when required and corrects errors per company guidelines.
• Ensures EAS systems function properly; confirms cashiers deactivate merchandise, greeters handle alarms, and logs are completed.
• Prepares registers for opening/closing, assists cashiers with change, maintains cash levels, and completes audits.
• Promotes company programs: credit cards, Walmart Protection Plans, charity initiatives, and discounts.
• Open to varied shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays) to ensure smooth store operation and consistent service.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Safety, Security, and Emergency Readiness

• Ensures safe work practices and emergency procedures are followed at all times, including proper lifting techniques, maintaining clean work areas, managing down registers, responding to emergency codes, and supporting theft prevention and evacuation procedures.

Customer and Associate Support

• Handles customer and associate concerns professionally, providing guidance and support as required to resolve issues and maintain a positive front-end experience.

Front End Coverage and Operations

• Monitors Front End operations to ensure proper associate coverage, coordinates breaks, and provides support to outlying registers to maintain efficient customer flow.

Associate Training and Development

• Trains associates on systems and Company procedures, including scanning accuracy, productivity standards, company programs and initiatives, discount programs, EAS processes, and safety requirements.

Transaction Oversight and Compliance

• Oversees purchase, return, and exchange transactions, provides approvals when required, assists with correcting errors, and verifies processes are followed in accordance with Company guidelines.

EAS and Loss Prevention Support

• Ensures EAS systems are functioning properly by confirming cashiers deactivate merchandise correctly, greeters handle alarms appropriately, and “Failure to Deactivate” logs are completed accurately.

Cash Management and Register Controls

• Prepares registers for daily opening and closing, supports cashiers by providing change as needed, maintains appropriate front-end cash levels, and completes audits to ensure register accuracy.

Promote Company Programs and Initiatives

• Oversees and promotes company-sponsored programs and initiatives, including credit card services, Walmart Protection Plans, charity initiatives, and associate and customer discount programs.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
