Job summary

Walmart Canada in Kamloops, BC is seeking a friendly Consumables Associate to help stock merchandise, process shipments, and assist customers in a fast-paced store environment. This role focuses on customer service and teamwork to move items from the back room to the sales floor while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

You will greet customers politely, promote products, locate items, resolve issues or refer to management, and maintain shelf displays and signage.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Assist customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions.
• Resolve customer issues and refer concerns to management where appropriate.
• Maintain salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up and maintaining product displays, signing and pricing merchandise.
• Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secures merchandise, identifies high shrink items and maintains a safe work environment as per Company policies and procedures.
• Receives and stocks merchandise, utilizes equipment appropriately, administers required paperwork, logs and other documentation.
• Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
• Stocks merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable. Applies product protection when required. Sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and sets new shelf caps.
