Job summary

Walmart Canada is hiring a Cashier in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, QC. You will provide exemplary customer service at the checkout, process transactions accurately, and help customers with bagging and loading merchandise.

You’ll promote credit card services and protection plans while maintaining a safe, clean work area and securing the register. Opportunities exist to refer complex items to a Customer Service Manager as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Process all purchase transactions quickly and accurately, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promote sponsor programs, such as credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Maintain safe work practices and a clean work area.
• Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling and awareness of surroundings.
• Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
