Job summary

Walmart Canada in Markham, Ontario is seeking a Cashier to deliver exemplary customer service at the checkout and to protect company assets with careful cash handling. You will greet customers, process purchases, deactivate merchandise per the EAS program, promote credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives, assist with bagging, and maintain a safe, orderly register area.

This is an entry-level role in a busy retail environment.

• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
