Walmart Canada is seeking a Bakery Associate in Mississauga to deliver exemplary customer service, maintain the Bakery Department, and assist with stocking and pricing. You will follow cold chain and food safety standards and help ensure high-quality bakery products are presented to customers.

Responsibilities include ensuring full department readiness, accurate signage and pricing, and adhering to sanitation procedures while preparing bakery items according to thawing and baking guidelines.

• Ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls).
• Ensure department is fully stocked and ready for business.
• Ensure merchandise is signed and priced correctly.
• Adhere to cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates and expiration dates.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/pricing/labels.
• Prepare bakery merchandise by thawing and baking per guidelines to maintain quality.
• Ensure displays are secured safely.

What you'll do...

• Ensures the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise; such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.


• Ensures that department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.


• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.


• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.


• Adheres to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.


• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.


• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.


• Ensures all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.40.
