Responsibilities

• Ensure bakery department merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls) is high quality and visually appealing.
• Keep the department fully stocked and ready for business.
• Ensure merchandise is signed and priced correctly.
• Adhere to cold chain controls, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, and dating procedures.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markdowns, signing, pricing, and labeling.
• Prepare bakery products by thawing and baking according to guidelines to maintain quality and appearance.
• Keep all displays secure and safe.

What you'll do...

• 1. Ensures the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise; such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• 2. Ensures that department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
• 3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• 4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• 5. Adheres to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and clearing procedures.
• 6. Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• 7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• 8. Ensures all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.95.
