Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Bakery Associate in Pembroke, ON to deliver exemplary customer service and to maintain and zone the bakery area. You will assist with stocking and selling bakery goods and ensure shelves are clean and well-presented.

Responsibilities include ensuring high quality displays for bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls, keeping the department stocked, properly signing and pricing items, and adhering to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain procedures.

• Follow cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Adhere to sanitation and food safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepare bakery merchandise by thawing and baking according to guidelines for quality and presentation.
• Ensure all displays are secured safely.

• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration dates.
• Adheres to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensures all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.05.
