Job summary

Walmart Canada in Shawinigan, QC is seeking an Associate to support receiving and flow of merchandise to the sales floor. You will unload trailers, pull pallets to the floor, and help prepare merchandise for store opening in a safe, clean environment.

You will work as part of a team, follow store policies, and provide customer service as needed, with a starting hourly wage. This role emphasizes labeling and backroom stocking for efficient operations.

• Label and stock backroom bins and shelves for efficient replenishment.
• Move pallets to and from the sales floor for processing and restocking.
• Assist customers and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment in accordance with policy.

Job description

Position Summary... To provide customer service by completing assigned tasks relating to receiving and the flow of merchandise through to the sales floor. This will be accomplished by unloading trailers, pulling pallets to the floor and assisting in the processing of merchandise all in a safe and clean environment. This Associate will function as part of a team to strategically plan and execute duties based on workload and operational functions.

What You'll Do

• Preparing the sales floor for store opening
• Setting, merchandising and signing features
• Completing live unloading of other types of merchandise
• The main differentiator between this role and day/evening fulfillment is there is a stronger emphasis on labelling and placing merchandise in the backroom bins/stocking
• Pulling pallets of merchandise to and from the sales floor for overnight processing
• Assisting in stocking the sales floor as assigned and providing customer service if necessary
• Label the sales floor for store opening
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.75.
