Job summary

Walmart Canada in Sept-Îles is seeking a Security Guard to maintain a secure store environment for customers, associates and visitors. You will patrol the facility daily, validate doors and showcases, and assist with emergency procedures to ensure safety and uptime.

The role requires a Security Guard License and being 16 or older. You will investigate shrink, communicate findings to Store Leadership, and support loss prevention activities, while performing other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Patrol the facility daily to ensure security and safety.
• Validate doors and showcases are secure and functioning properly.
• Investigate incidents of shrink and communicate findings to Store Leadership.
• Support store evacuation procedures in emergencies.
• Participate in task team responsibilities as needed.
• Conduct investigations into internal/external theft and related matters following Walmart policies.
• Communicate information from various sources and clarify issues for others.
• Other duties as required by the company.

What You'll Do...

• Ensure store security by making daily patrols of the facility, validating doors and showcases are secure and functioning properly.
• Make external arrests when necessary.
• Investigate instances of financial and physical shrink and communicate findings to Store Leadership and in cases of an internal case matter communication to the Market Loss Prevention Manager first.
• Support store evacuation procedures in case of fire or other emergency.
• Participate in store task team responsibilities as required.
• Conduct/Support investigations as assigned including, but not limited to, instances of internal theft and/or dishonesty, matters relating to external organized retail crime, and cases as assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics, in a timely and thorough manner and in accordance with Walmart Canada policies.
• Required to communicate information from different sources and effectively clarify issues for others, often presenting different perspectives.
• Other responsibilities may be added to this position as the needs and requirements of the Company increase.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $20.35.
