Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University on Richmond Campus is looking for a College & Career Peer Mentor. This student position helps create a welcoming, career-focused experience for prospective and current EKU students, families, and campus guests.

Working with CECCs and career professionals, you’ll bridge peers with the college, share EKU experiences, assist with career readiness appointments, and represent your college at recruitment events while developing communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled EKU student in good academic standing.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work independently.
• Genuine interest in helping fellow students and prospective students.
• Willingness to learn and accurately communicate information about EKU resources.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training and demonstrate proficiency in career readiness services.
• Assist with recruitment events and campus tours for prospective students.
• Represent the college professionally and share accurate information about programs.
• Support outreach, promotions, follow-up communications and related meetings.
