Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Campus Security Guard to protect students, staff and facilities on Vancouver campus. You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, provide First Aid, and maintain thorough reports while delivering strong customer service.

This part-time overnight role offers $23.00/hr, weekend shifts, uniform provision, GardaWorld Academy training, and growth opportunities within a supportive team focused on safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid BC security license.
• First aid certification - OFA 2 required.
• Strong communication and exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong report writing and technology skills.
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus.
• Ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Physically able to drive, patrol, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Proficient in basic phone and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the premises on a regular basis.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety hazards, and security breaches.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Provide First Aid (OFA 2 level) when required and document accordingly.
• Maintain accurate reports including daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-ons.
• Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner.
• Assist with access control and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a point of contact for staff, students, and visitors.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when required.
