Qualifications

  • Candidate must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Must possess a Valid Police Clearance Certificate.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a safe and secure environment for the Brock community.
  • Promote goodwill and cooperation with University departments and local law enforcement.
  • Conduct arrests as appropriate and secure investigation scenes.

Skills

Relevant experience in policing or security
Knowledge of Criminal Code of Canada
Demonstrated appreciation of equity, diversity and inclusion
Strong negotiation and mediation skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure

Education

Completion of a 2-year College Diploma in Law & Security
A university degree or equivalent
An Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) Constable or Special Constable Selection System Certificate
