Job description

Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high‑performing culture.

The Campus Recruitment and Talent Development Team is part of the Global Human Resources group at Scotiabank and is responsible for attracting and developing future Scotiabank leaders. We are a crucial partner to the business, and we assess, select, and develop diverse early talent from around the world. Developing this talent is at the core of what we do at Scotiabank, where the focus is on customization and strategy.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

You’ll be reporting to the Campus Recruitment Team Manager and be responsible for managing end-to-end campus talent acquisition activities, including creating and executing on campus strategy. You will build and maintain a diverse talent bench of candidates across various geographies through all stages of the recruitment funnel. Leveraging technologies, you will be responsible for assessing and tracking candidates, relationship management, and offer management. You will help to create and deliver presentations on and off‑campus, plan and execute events and large‑scale conferences, and manage social media deliverables. You will manage various relationships such as working and negotiating with key vendors and internal business leaders and provide support and mentorship to members of the Campus team – it’s a very big, rewarding role!

We believe in relationships, so we want someone that loves people, is very competitive and driven and who wants to win. And you need to be innovative…extremely innovative. If you think our style of campus recruitment is posting jobs and screening resumes you couldn’t be more wrong. It is a busy job with lots of travel to campuses all over Canada.

We’re looking for a candidate who loves people, is highly competitive, driven, and innovative. This role requires a heavy to moderate degree of travel (by car, rail, and plane) within Canada to various universities and colleges, as well as the potential to travel internationally on occasion. Due to the timing of on‑ and off‑campus events, this role is not a “9 to 5” and will often require work during evenings and weekends. Scotiabank is committed to being a flexible workplace and our team works hard together to make sure of it.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

We believe in hiring people for our team based on skills and talent, over experience. Experience helps a lot and someone with a year or so of campus recruitment, will have less of a learning curve, but we also can teach you a lot ourselves. You will want to be someone who can manage a lot at once and manage many people/relationships at once. You need to be creative and enthusiastic with a friendly and positive outlook. Organization is a key to success as is creativity and self‑motivation.

What’s in it for you?

The opportunity to join a forward‑thinking and collaborative team, surrounded by innovative thinkers.

A rewarding career path with diverse opportunities for professional development.

Internal training to support your growth and enhance your skills.

An inclusive working environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and celebrates success!

The tools needed to create best‑in‑class student candidate experiences.
