Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in North Bay is seeking a part-time Cage and Count Attendant to support fast-paced casino operations. The role involves counting and verifying floats, handling currency and chips, and recording all transactions in our management system.

The position requires six months of cash handling, accuracy with math, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Six months of cash-handling experience.
• Ability to add, multiply, and balance floats and spreadsheets.
• Eligibility to obtain AGCO Category 2 Gaming License.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle cash, tickets, and chips.
• Friendly, polite, patient and courteous demeanor.
• Flexible availability for evenings and weekends.

• Exchange foreign and domestic currency.
• Counts cash and value chips according to company policies and procedures.
• Records transactions in Casino Management Software and verifies printed reports.

Salary: $21.17/h to start

Key Responsibilities

• Count and verify opening and closing floats for all coin, currency, chips, and marketing items.
• Exchange foreign and domestic currency.
• Counts cash and value chips according to company policies and procedures.
• Records transactions in Casino Management Software and verifies printed reports.

What You Bring

• Minimum of six months of cash-handling experience.
• Ability to add, multiply, and balance floats and spreadsheets.
• The ability to obtain registration with the AGCO (Category 2 Gaming License)
• Ability to pull, lift, and carry objects such as a cashier tray and can transport a heavy cart.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Good manual dexterity to accurately handle cash, tickets, and chips.
• A friendly, polite, patient and courteous energy.
• Ability to work on your feet and provide solutions quickly.
• Open to working flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
