Job summary

Seaspan ULC is seeking a CAD Specialist II to support the CAD Admin team from initial design through project completion. The role includes development and implementation of CAD tools, processes, and training for end users.

This is an on-site position located at 949 W 3rd Street West, North Vancouver. The successful candidate will bring a CAD diploma or related field, 2–4 years of 2D/3D CAD experience, and strong communication and technical writing abilities.

Qualifications

Diploma in CAD, engineering, a related field, or equivalent.
Experience with CAD software and strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
2–4 years 2D/3D CAD experience; knowledge of NAVIS/3D tools is desirable.
Good written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear specs and reports.

Responsibilities

Support CAD software implementation and integration with VSY systems.
Assist development of CAD parts catalogs, system specs, templates, and standards.
Support CAD configuration control and data consistency across systems.
Run CAD reports to support business needs.
Suggest ways to improve efficiency and quality in CAD tools.
Monitor tools/macros to enhance system functionality and performance.
Identify opportunities to grow workflow efficiencies.
Report progress to Senior/Principal CAD administrators.
Identify training needs and opportunities for the team.
