Maritime Welding Inc. in Bathurst, New Brunswick is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team. You will draw and modify technical plans using CAD and participate in the quality control of products and manufacturing processes.

Applicants should hold a College Diploma (DEC) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with strong math, blueprint reading, metallurgy and manufacturing principles; 4+ years of experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• College Diploma (DEC) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Strong skills in mathematics, computer applications, blueprint/technical drawing reading, and metallurgy.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Good understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Draw and modify technical plans using CAD.
• Participate in quality control of products and manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support to fabricators.
• Complete inspection reports and document inspection results.
