Job Description

The CAD (Computer Aided Drafting and Design) Operator will be responsible for providing 2D and 3D drafting and design support to the Engineering Department for both Capital and Non-Capital projects. This role supports project planning, equipment layout, and design execution across the facility.

Compensation: Annual salary of $70,000 and above, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 2D and 3D drafting and design support for Engineering Capital and Non-Capital projects.
  • Locate, review, and plot drawings from past projects to support new project planning and execution.
  • Collect field measurements and create accurate drawings for upcoming projects.
  • Develop equipment layout drawings for new equipment installations or replacement of existing equipment using Autodesk AutoCAD (2D design).
  • Create 3D equipment designs using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Store, safeguard, and manage electronic drawing files in accordance with company standards.
  • Support Engineering teams with design updates, revisions, and documentation as required.
  • Comply with all food safety and quality requirements, including the obligation to report any food safety or quality concerns to authorized personnel for corrective action.
Qualifications
  • A well‑rounded knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Civil Engineering, as well as Architectural drafting.
  • Ability to work in both Imperial and Metric measurement systems.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Extensive experience using Autodesk AutoCAD for 2D drafting and Autodesk Inventor for 3D design.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Must possess one of the following certifications:
    • Certified Engineering Technician (C.Tech)
    • Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T)
