Job summary

A local construction company in Regina is seeking an experienced candidate to operate woodworking machines and create custom-made cabinets. This position requires experience in woodworking and the ability to follow plans and specifications. The job is full-time and permanent with a competitive hourly wage of $33.60. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.

Experience

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components
  • Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
  • Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished productsMaintain clean and safe work environment
