Greet customers and ask open-ended questions about customer’s projects to determine their needs and level of expertise to assign a sales associate to provide required services.
- Assist with preparation of estimates or quote prices, warranties and delivery dates.
- Ensure the visual standards and image of the store displays, signage and cleanliness.
- Study drawings and specifications of Cabinets to be made/assembled.
- Coordinate work activities to meet project deadlines, including overtime as needed.
- Operate machinery to fabricate and assemble wood items according to specifications.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
- May perform key holding and managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store, managing complaints.
- Utilize computer terminal to check & maintain inventory, look-up orders and notify customers when product is ready for pick-up.
- Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.
- Train or arrange for training of new worker(s).
- Ensure all Health & Safety standards for safe working conditions are observed and equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to multitask.
