Job description

C# Technical Consultant- Integration Specialist

Our client is a young, dynamic player within the Internet / Web Technology industry, working with Fortune 500 clients to solve their development needs mainly in AquaLogic and Oracle COREid. Growing rapidly, this innovative company is looking to hire a technical consultant to work in a permanent or contract capacity.

You will be responsible for gathering requirements, providing solutions and developing the desired application using web technologies (ASP.NET, XML, AJAX) and C#.

Travel

As a Level I technical consultant, you will be working mostly on-site with clients, and therefore, you can be based anywhere in Canada or the US as long as you live near an airport. Our client’s engagements are no longer than three months. Therefore, you’ll be provided with an executive apartment, rental car (if necessary) and a per diem for expenses. You will be flown home every other weekend (or you can fly somewhere else for fun, like Vegas if you’re situated in the US Southwest for example). After eight months of service, you will be eligible to fly home every weekend.

Career Progression

If you’re highly motivated and successful, you can move into a Level II technical role with this organization within eight months to one year. In addition to continuing web integration, you might also now be responsible for application implementations and administration. In addition, our client will now fly you home (or elsewhere for fun) every weekend and they’ll give you a raise. By year three, you should be at a Technical Consultant Level III and your compensation could be approaching or over $100k.

Training

Training is paid for by our client (online & on‑site) and only candidates that demonstrate the required skills thereafter will be awarded with the opportunity to join our client’s elite team.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Canadian or US Citizenship Required (for TN visa eligibility)
  • Personal and/or professional experience in Web Development (ASP.NET/C#) or recent University Computer Science or Engineering graduate with demonstrated homemade applications!
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to conduct presentations, provide feedback in meetings and present solutions to customers & stakeholders.
  • Web programming using one or more of CSS, DHTML, AJAX, JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS, tools and concepts such as SQL Server, stored procedures
  • .NET experience and/or knowledge
Desired Qualifications & Skills
  • User interface / user experience design experience.
  • Extremely out-going personality and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Enterprise Integration experience an asset but not required (training provided).
Education
  • University degree or equivalent (Computer Science or Engineering background preferred) or
  • 3 years of relevant experience plus two year college diploma in computers or
  • 5 years of relevant experience no diploma
